During his 25 years in Congress, Senator Dick Durbin has often come under fire for repeated words and deeds showing a distinct lack of patriotism.
Most recently, Dr. Steve Sauerberg, in an interview with WBBM, questioned Durbin's love for his country, pointing out that "voters 'wonder a lot' about Durbin’s patriotism."
The Durbin campaign argues that one's patriotism is too personal to be an election issue. What they fail to recognize is that those who care about their country are far more likely to care for their country by doing everything in their power to see America succeed.
